The museum can be visited for free, including information about space exploration, planets and a meteorite display. The rooftop can also be visited for a view of the huge telescope and surroundings. Of course, its location within the massive Treptower Park makes it ideal to visit the park at the same time.

Visited this place as a part of The Long Night Of Science. Observed The Sun and Jupiter in three different telescopes, watched the movie about Rosetta in the hall where Einstein gave his first public talk about General Relativity, found out about stars over Berlin in super cozy planetarium. It was also a great possibility to watch how The Great Refractor works. It is mind-blowing. Highly recommended to visit.

Went here today for the Sternestunde. It was a really nice & impressive place. The guide did a great job. Loved the small planetarium.

Built in 1896. With the longest telescope (21 metres focus) of the world. In 1915, Albert Einstein stunned the world with his 1st ever speech on RELATIVITY. This made him a Nobel Price winner in 1921.
