If you are a bicyclist and want to cross into Belarus, this is the best place to do it, and at the same time enjoy the unspoiled beauty of this area. No problems whatsoever crossing into Belarus, despite all of the horrific stories I have heard from other \Westerners\. If you want to get the best advice on what to do in the area, just ask the lovely young lady by the name of Anna at the information booth/souvenir store, on the right side, as soon as you enter Belarus. This young lady is very helpful and amazingly just does not stop smiling-unlike the stories that I have heard of emotionless, mean looking Belarusian people, not true. After the whole day of enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the Belovezhskaya Puscha and the town of Kameniuki, I had to head back to the boarder crossing. If I ever go back there again, I would plan on staying a bit longer. By the way, both Poland and Belarus felt much safer then Western Europe. One lesson(negative) from this place-do not take pictures at the border crossings in this part of Europe(I have pictures form Mexico and Canada). Belorussian crossing guards did not seem to mind me taking pictures but the Polish guards asked me to erase my pictures from my phone(in a polite way). I was a little bit upset(no signs) but at the same time I understand that they were just doing their job. This incident sort of reminded me of my travels in this area (Poland, Czechoslovakia) in the late 80's when you really could not take pictures anywhere-yes, the good old communist times-ha,ha. In conclusion, I would definatly recommend this type of excursion and this boarder crossing for anyone who loves biking and the pristine nature.
Przejście tylko dla pieszych i rowerzystów. Czynne do godz. 18tej (w sezonie do 20tej).
Szybko i sprawnie przebiega obsługa. Żadnych problemów nikt nikomu nie robi, pełen profesjonalizm. Tak trzymać.
Dawno nie widziałem granicy z płotami i szlabanami.
