I can not stress enough how amazing this place is. Describing it in writing won't justify it. You just have to go and see for yourself. Me and a group of friends stayed for the weekend and had a blast, no bad moments. We got to bring our dogs. We rented kayaks for the duration of the stay and got to kayak anytime we wanted. They provide tree houses to stay in, the land is kept up beautifully. We got to enjoy sitting in the river and just cooling off. Anything we wanted to do, we got to do it. Chris was amazing! One of the most accommodating owners I have ever met. We never ran out of charcoal, ice, fire wood, etc. Extremely easy to talk to and never fussed or gave us a hard time. You can make reservations online but it's probably best that you call instead. If you like camping and all the things associated with it, this is the spot!

On a recent visit to Central Pennsylvania, my kids and I decided to spend Labor Day Kayaking down the Susquehanna River. On this day we needed to rent a Kayak for me to use. Chris, the owner was very friendly and offered some great advice about where to put in that day and navigating the river. His advice was spot on and it allowed us to have a very enjoyable day.
Just finished an awesome canoe trip down the Susquehanna River! Chris the owner is a really great guy and very helpful with suggestions for your excursion. We made the entire trip in about two hours, and that included stopping on some of the islands and having a look around. It’s extremely calm and peaceful both on the water and on the empty islands. We saw blue egrets, eagles, and a big flock of geese on the water. We didn’t actually camp on the island, but did have a look at the campsites and the empty treehouses. They are pretty rustic, but modern cots are provided for comfort. I’d highly recommend this as a great way to enjoy a day on the river. Bring a couple bottles of water and a snack, or just grab lunch after at JP’s at the launching area.
Great kayak trip but neither he nor the cashier wore masks. The cashier coughed frequently. On the way up to the drop point, Chris spent the entire drive giving us his very strong political opinions (we hadn't asked for them). It made the ride up a bit uncomfortable. I recommend separating politics and business.
Very fun trip. Staff was friendly and well trained.
