Beautiful old building. Lots of history. Was sat high up and could see and hear the show perfectly.

I have never been into the hall itself, I attended an event in a meeting room at the rear of the building (I think it may have been an extension, but am not sure). It was ok as meeting rooms go, larger than most I've seen but not the largest. It seemed flexible enough to accommodate most types of event. Beyond that there was nothing exceptional about the facility, but nothing to complain about either.

Not impressed. The stage is small and too high up for a good view. Posts also ruin the view of the stage. There was NO ONE checking tickets and people were told to ignore your allocated seats and essentially fend for your self which caused a lot of annoyance and confusion for people as they struggled to get enough spaces for their whole families. The lack of information and organisation definitely marred the experience. There was no set design other than a basic backdrop.nthe actors performed well and sang brilliantly but the musical was flat. Seating is atrocious. Very uncomfortable and certainly not suited to people over 6 feet tall. It doesn't work well for children either as the seats keep trying to flip back up. Concessions were a very reasonable price which I found very impressive. The toilets however are very poorly marked. Overall a very mixed bag. I'd recommend against watching any kind of play/panto there as it isn't a comfortable experience.
