DO NOT USE this car park. - there are MUCH safer, more honest and reputable ones close by. 1. You cannot pay at the machine using any cards - only by cash / coins, even this far into the 21st Century. Payment by phone app was not possible on the day I tried. 2. You have to pay for every hour or part, as whole hours - the time does NOT increment pro rata with extra payment - and it gives NO change if you do overpay, expecting the pro-rata time. 3. Although there may have been signs to say, I saw NONE that point out that parking time is taken by CAMERA from the moment that you drive into the entrance till the moment that you drive out, not from when you have found an adequately marked space, found the change for the machine, and paid for your ticket. NOTE - this means a “fine” even if you go in, find that you do not have enough coins or cannot get APP to work, and drive out 2 minutes later without having used the Parking. 4. The “FINE” for ANY incursions or overstays is actually a “Parking Charge Notice” for 100. The small print permits a reduced payment of 60 “within 14 days” of the date that THEY sent the Notice - not the date received. NOTE - The method of the Notice being sent BY POST means that legally, you actually have 21 DAYS in which to pay the reduced rate - NOT the incorrectly advised 14 days as per the Notice Private parking companies have NO official right to FINE you, though they may try to make you think they do. All they're doing is sending you a notice of what they deem to be a breach of contract, and using intimidating methods and language. 5. This is a very poorly lit car park, completely open to the street. I would be concerned re security for any extended parking or return after dark. In short, I would have.a left a NEGATIVE star review if it had been possible.

Have parked here a couple of times and have never had an issue, however the bays aren’t the easiest to get in and out of and would avoid if you have a larger vehicle.

Worst car park in Brighton. The company that runs it are dishonest. They will try and fine you for as much as they can get from you.

Don't be fooled by the cheap prices! It has automated camera at entry/exit points so even if you have returned to your car within your time, if you leave just after you get the nice present in the post of a 100 fine! Totally unacceptable! Will never use again! The parking is very exposed and is not secure! AVOID!

Be very careful. The cash payment machine in my case did not work and as a result I forget to pay later - receive a fine of 100. ie 66 times the cost of parking. If you pay later they will charge another 70 admin fee for doing sweet FA. And the Government allows these modern day \thieves\ the pleasure. Adding insult to injury. Its better for the owner not to service the machine and make sure it does not accepts cash. Most parking machines now accept credit cards - not this one - I guess why would you when you can charge 170 for every mistake !
