Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant "The Great Indian Tandoor" when you are in Candolim. It is a small local restaurant with great service and food. The prices are quite pocket friendly and the food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted was delicious. We tried their chicken tandoor(tender and juicy), butter chicken with roti and chicken chilly with plain paratha. The chicken was perfectly cooked. Also,the staff truly cares about your experience. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Candolim. Highly recommend!

Just two words, "Yummy food". One day I ordered chicken tikka biryani and other day I ordered peshwari kebab and dal handi. Biryani was spicy and yummy. Peshwari kebab and dal handi were super yummy. Their food is full of flavours and also budgrt friendly. I totally recommend this place.
Yummy yummyyyyy, I wasn’t disappointed because I am used to some strong spices and flavors as being from north India. The Schezwan prawns became my favorite, rite amount of flavors and damn I loved the spicy level! and the Bangda thali, basic and authentic taste of local Goan food. Best part! The prices are economical! Go for it without any doubt !

Serves very nice food. Not a fancy type restaurant but food qaulity is very good.
Great Indian tandoor is a local open air joint, serving food at pocket friendly rates. The menu focuses on tandoor dishes along with North Indian, Chinese, and Goan seafood dishes. I tried out the tawa fried tandoor chicken topped with grated cheese and served with salad along with schezwan sauce. The chicken was well cooked, juicy and soft, having a tangy and spicy flavour to it with a sufficient quantity which was worth the price. I tried out the Masala fried Kingfish with two big portions of fresh Kingfish fillets marinated in spicy masala which was a treat to the palette. And lastly tried out their chicken dum Biryani. The long grained basmati rice was well cooked, but I felt that the chicken masala could have been better. . So if you are around Candolim and looking out to munch on some good food at pocket friendly rates then the great Indian tandoor is worth a visit.
The food is awesome here. It’s not that big but the food is tasty. Must try the dum biryani and king fish fry.
