I hate to say how much I loved Flodin park because I don't want people to overcrowd it. It's clean, family friendly and had a lovely tour by a parks guide. I highly recommend it but only if it can stay as is.

The soccer fields are kept in good condition here. The baseball fields as well. The ground is hard in spots and watch for soft spots but that’s all part of the game. Plenty of room for picnicking. There is no fixed bathroom facility here but often there is a temporary one set up. There is an entertaining, small water park for the little ones. Along with this there is a very nice play structure which is in good condition. Plenty of seating for adults. There is a connected nature trail beyond the park. There are two entry points that cross over Flodin Creek. The area is returning to its natural state. It is still rough in places. Grass carp breed in the shallows during late summer. There are often water fowl here including cranes, herons, geese and various types of ducks. Plenty of woodland and field birds as well. There are small mammals in the area but not easy to find. It is a great place for viewing wildflowers as there is always something in bloom back there.
Kids get busy. Good area for adult sports and a decent exercise routine. What else could one ask for with the ongoing pandemic. Safety is your own personal prerogative. Like always and everywhere. So nothing different.

Great little park. Tennis courts are in good shape. Variety of other amenities for the whole family including playground, splash pad, basketball hoop, soccer field and much more.
