What market?There was only a burger van there! I have visited the market for over 40 years to buy fabric, from Peterlee and Wingate, in my role as textile teacher and for last 16 yrs, as an upholsterer, along with other friends and members of my class. The lads travelled from Burnley for years and had the best fabric stall in the north. They didnt bring their own stall as they had so much fabric. I always went to \The Coffee Bank\ for my lunch then visited Boyes, Clarks, Poundland, m & co and Peacocks etc I m not coming to the 'market' anymore now after my last visit to see what was happening. I can go to those shops nearer home. You have lost a lot of custom and killed a thriving market.
