I know that most people are not happy after visiting this place and nor was I the last time I went as well. But this time my assigned officer was extremely friendly and helped me with all my application related questions. Most importantly she gave me a feeling of being welcome as a foreigner, something that has been missing from the Ausländerämter in general in Germany. It would be lovely to see more people like her!

Staff is really cooperative and helping. Lady officer was nice and welcoming. Although she did a mistake and entered slightly wrong residential address, I noticed when I came back to bank, but front desk officer gave me new waiting number and the whole process again took only 10-15mins. I must appreciate the cooperation of staff.

Helping a friend to get appointment. Nobody knows what to do in Brexit. I phoned and it was the time and days given in paper for instructions for visa appointment..and the answering machine is on saying I was calling on wrong time and days.. Then I got hold of them, as soon as I gave my name, I was put on hold for 15 minutes. She was typing or doing something on her desk that has nothing to do with my calls. Then she told me that she does not have information from her Boss. My friend passed documents in their office and never heard anything since August last year. Then we were sending email in Ausländeramt like what they have as info in website and nobody replying. There were also specific names of Beamter in E-Mails, but they never bothered to reply. The schedule online is two months waiting. We were calling to ask what documents they need so as not to waste time. But bad luck, we were calling three times in a week for 1 and half hour, they never call back, line is busy or they end the calling time too early.. Hello? Germany? I never experienced such incompetency in other City. Now that the Brexit is clear, it is time to do some training to your Beamter to tell them how to deal with calls regarding Visas etc. In UK, the Germans are settled, they have proper documents since the start of Brexit talks. But in Germany, British are confused. If there is Zero, I would rate this office as Zero.

Sehr nett Mitarbeiterinnen und so schnell wie möglich alles erledigt , 0 Sekunden Wartezeit. I am a foreigner as well, my German is also not very good. However the staff are very patient to listen to me and deal with my case. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you very much for understanding me and processing my case so quickly.
