Overall a good place to work at. The people care about the job and the children. Now, with that said: There are many obstacles. Douglas County is growing much faster than the kids can be transported on time. But, that is likely more a financial & political issue than merely a departmental issue. The pay could be better and does need to be improved in order to maintain a level of efficiency.

I’ve had my fair share of challenges with this transportation. I know that they do the best that they can. If they are running late they will email my daughter principal then in return he will email me. I appreciate still having bus services some cities and states has stop it all together. They are not prefect but they try with working with you with what they have. Turner Hill has the best PRINCIPAL, the best staff

Douglas County Schools provides the best. These parents here expect everything wonderful, during this pandemic, Bus drivers are risking there lives to come to work every morning and come drive for us. I would like to thank bus #378 and #369 they are just amazing. I appreciate everyone at transportation getting up before the sun even comes up and gets in a bus to make sure its fine, and come pick us up with a positive attitude everyday. Every morning when i board the bus or every evening when i board the bus they always say Good Morning! Or Good Evening! If the parents aren't satisfied with it they can drive they kids to school or leave them virtual, they act like drivers cant make mistakes they are human too. I hope this shares a message that not everything is bad there its just the picky parents that demand everything wonderful with 0 mistakes at all. Its a different story if it happens every day but if its once in forever then y'all really don't got no right to comment. Y'all have a good day!

Honestly! Just a poor managed transportation system! Calling transportation is the worst experience alone! Unreliable info rude and condescending staff as if our concerns about the wrong and/or if any info bout our children is petty or irrelevant! God protect our children with these people!
