I accidentally bumped into this place looking for something to eat at 9am before everything else opens. And I returned for more 20 minutes later. Cheap, tasty, quick and amazing service. I've never had this meal before so had to google it out. Veggie version if raw koftas (Turkish version) made if bulgur and some other cool ingredients. Unfortunately today was my last day in Turkey so I'll have to learn to make it on my own...

Small food place in the middle of Bazzar with tasty kufta.
we went cause of the food ranger video. the staff were fun, had a good experience exchanging pleasantries in each others languages. the spicy kofte was actually spicy ... dont be fooled. seating arrangements were nice.
eat and enjoy a comedy show very tasty and delicious Turkish food
The kofta is so soft, tasty, full of flavours, citric with the lemon, spicy... Incredible One of the most delicious food in Turkey. The service is great, clean place, seating options, so cheap. One kofta wrap plus one ayran, 10 TL, just over one pound!!
I watched many videos about this place, the food was meh, and they guy actually a bit rude and have a temper. Overall, it’s overrated, but perhaps it’s good for other people; you can come and try it.
My wife and I got here accidentally, when we were walking near embankment. It was cold in February and we wanted to eat something and warm up. We saw a crowd of people nearby and went to there and were glad that we saw this place. Ali's beautiful energetic performance, the atmosphere is very friendly. Be sure to go again if I will be in Istanbul.
The story of çiğ köfte which seems to prevail goes something like this: in the time of Abraham, in the city of Urfa in southern Turkey, lived king Nimrod who had all the available firewood collected to erect a giant execution pyre for Abraham. The people, lacking fuel, proceeded to mash their venison into a paste and mix it with spices to make it palatable. I cannot attest to the accurateness of this story, but its a nice one anyway. Master Ali sells his çiğ köfte on a small side alley Muhzirbaşı Sk, before that mostly to local workmen and residents, but now you can see many tourists take the long line to wait for this delicious roll. You can purchase portions wrapped in lettuce leaves, rolled into a wrap with lettuce, or plain in a plastic container to bring home and enjoy at your convenience. There are two options: spicy (acılı), and very spicy (çok acılı) and all choices are without meat. Drink lots of ayran with it (salty yogurt drink) to keep your mouth cool. You can find çiğ köfte everywhere in Istanbul, but Ali Usta is the cheapest option yet very delicious.
