It must be so hard to keep your composure with 4 horses all pissing at once during taps at a funeral.

Awesome spot. It is the home of the Army's only remaining horse unit. The soldiers of the Caisson Platoon carry the remains of veterans from all branches into their final resting place at Arlington National Cemetery. The stable is open to the public for tours Tuesday through Saturday, 1200-1600.
Absolutely awe inspiring!! I raise and show Quarter Horses and Appaloosas and this tour of these magnificent service horses and the men that work in all aspects of this mos was absolutely the highlight of my visit to DC.
Historic Stables for the US Army Caisson Platoon, who render honors to America's fallen Service Members. This is the home of the hardest working platoon in the US Army. The stable is open to the public for tours, Tuesday through Saturday from 1200-1600.
We showed up at 3pm on a Thursday (after a very confusing drive to find Hatfield Gate) and were told that they only do tours on Wednesdays.
Tours are available Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4 PM. Caisson soldiers lead the tour and answer questions.
