Great fresh food made to order with an appealing presentation to boot. Very nice staff. Was enough for 2 full meals.

We used to order here all the time but after my last few experiences, we will not be back. I paid more for our food today then I have in months. The fish on my boyfriend’s order must have been bad since now he’s ill. He barely could eat a few bites. Not a lot of sauce in our orders and the smoothie I paid for was smaller and in a to go coffee cup with a lid for a different cup on it that didn’t fit. We tried calling to speak with someone multiple times and no one answered the phone. I had been in a few weeks prior to find out they didn’t have spring mix for the order I was placing. When I was told by the cashier that they could fix one bowl with what they had, the line cook got upset and said there wasn’t enough for even one bowl. She then began to complain about the lack of supplies they had. It’s sad they they have gone down hill like this.
Customer service is nonexistent with this place. The bowls my girlfriend bought for us were undersized and my tuna was not fresh at all. I couldn’t even finish it and now I feel sick to my stomach. What happened? What went wrong? They used to be good. I’m done with Big Island Bowls and am going somewhere more consistent next time. If you want a good experience, don’t bother with them. They won’t bother with picking up the phone when you try to call them anyway.

Well I just ordered online during the business normal working hours. I then drove to the restaurant during working hours to pick up my meal (an hour before close). At that point I saw someone cleaning up and asked if I could pick up my order. That person then said that she had already refunded my meal and then I could not pick up my food because they were randomly closing early because they were slow. THEREFORE SHE KNEW I WAS DRIVING THERE TO PICK UP MY MEAL AND CANCELLED IT WITHOUT CALLING ME NOT TO COME! My phone number is on the order. I never received any confirmation that I was refunded and at the time she did not ask for my name or credit card information to give me a refund. I never received confirmation of a refund on email so I called back (a very nice girl picked up) who told me the manager said call your credit card company for proof of a refund. Great customer service guys! Will be headed to the other poke bowl place in town!
