Fantastic! A hidden gem. I stumbled upon Hansson Silks a couple of years ago online and now I find any excuse to pay them a visit. Up a narrow set of stairs is the most amazing collection of silks; a wall of dupion, every colour you could think of, rolls and rolls of satins, crepes, brocades and chiffons line the walls. The collection of laces make you want to get married. The family who run the shop are wonderful and make each visit into an occasion. Importantly the silks are the highest quality and a good price. There is now also a small collection of beautiful jewellery brought over from India. Really I cannot recommend Hansson Silks more highly. My only suggestion is if you are driving into Guildford park in the multi story so you can pay at the end of your visit as who knows how long you will spend inside!
