Former power station for a Hitachi aircraft factory that now is a WWII landmark. Amazing that it still exists. Basically a pockmarked building surrounded by different relics from it's operational days such as wire and machinery that used to be in the building. There's a couple monuments inside the fence area. Also a few relics from that same era such as a piece of a water tower and part of a wall. Around five information panels that are written in both Japanese and English give you the backgrounds about the items. Surely not as famous or striking as the Atomic Dome in Hiroshima, but this place is reminds me a little of it.

The bullet holes remind you how lucky you are to live in a peaceful era.
You won’t find a structure in Tokyo that shows better the pockmarks of war. The surrounding park is almost empty and the building itself is relatively unknown to tourists. Highly recommended for ww2 history geeks.
You can see lots of bullet holes on this building. This building was shooted by American air fighters in WW2.
Wow can’t believe been here at Yokota for 10 years and never knew this historical memorial was here. Honored and Humbled. Thank You Japan for being such an amazing people and ally to us!!!
