This is a family type onsen (hot spring) facility in Kagoshima Prefecture. The hot spring water is very pleasant. The cheaper private onsen rooms are always full, according the facility staff. The private onsen space is located next to the river, so you can can enjoy the sound of Nature while you are using the hot spring facility. You need to have body soap and shampoo, because they don’t provide non of them.

Old interior, no room for rest. Very hard to control water temperature while showering. It goes from cold to hot with no reason. As I said, old interior. But cheap, suitable for quick hot spring bath.
古いけど、アットホームで受付の方は丁寧に、利用する人が子連れで大人数ならここ等おすすめの家族湯を教えてくれる。 初めての利用だったのでよく分からなかったが、広い所を勧めてくれて助かりました。 どこにするかで値段は変わりますが、高いとこでも他の家族湯と比べると安いです。 シャワーは子どもは使えないなどありますが、源泉ならではの香りや気持ち良さが良かったです。 そして、源泉だからでしょうか。初めて温泉に入った次の日もほんの少しですが、温泉の香りが髪から香ったりしてびっくりしました。
1800円の露天を利用。シャワーも源泉利用のため湯温は安定しない(スタッフの方からも注意喚起あり)。施設自体は古いが、親切な接客(田舎に帰省したような雰囲気)、広い浴槽&洗い場と、かなり好印象。車中泊等で安くすませたいときは、内湯だと1000円を切るため、かなりお得。阿蘇周辺以外だと、中々立ち寄りの家族湯は少ないためありがたいです。
2019年9月 60分1800円で入れました。4人までこの値段。 川の音を聞きながら、広々とした露天風呂。 家族で入るにはかなり良いです。 露天風呂としては最高ですが、清掃が行き届いてない感じが残念。 September 2019 I put it in 1800 yen for 60 minutes. This price up to 4 people.
