I recently adopted a cat but found that the rescue centre had not transferred her microchip details over to me. I checked her chip number and found she was previously registered with Indentibase so I contacted them directly yesterday (Saturday afternoon) expecting, at best, a response on Monday. I was extremely surprised to get a (very helpful and friendly) reply back from Alan at Indentibase on Saturday night assuring me that this could easily be sorted. I sent over a copy of the adoption paperwork on Sunday morning and within a few hours Alan got back to me to confirm that my cat's ownership had been updated and everything was now sorted. To respond so quickly and efficiently, especially over a weekend, was over and above what I expected so I'm very impressed. A big thank you to Alan for all his help!

They've failed to respond to our vet's contact attempts over the past month. We need to update our rescue cat's microchip information but Identibase is blocking this through sheer ineptness. I also note that many positive reviews on Trustpilot name-drop an individual called \Alan\, who is apparently not only helpful but quick to resolve customer queries. Where has this Alan been over the past month? Update: After leaving a review on Trustpilot, I was contacted by a representative from Identibase's parent company. This rep made efforts to understand the issue and made it clear they don't expect me to adjust my negative review because it is representative of my genuine experience. It was explained that an IT/website upgrade that took place towards the end of September resulted in issues with backlogs and thousands of inbound calls per day. After giving my home address and contact details, the rep made contact with the vet practice. Our cat's microchip info is now up to date. I am upgrading my review from one star to three stars because of the care and efficiency of the company rep. They are a valuable asset to the business.

Waited for over 12 mins on the telephone and eventually had to put it down. I note this company has very poor customer service reviews but do not appear to be addressing them by answering their phone. Will be using a different company to register my puppy with. Shambolic.

Took a month for them to reply to my email that I had trouble logging on because i didn't know the email address originally registered under and therefore couldn't find the password either. After a month I get an email back from Wendy, with a link, saying click here to update details and use your email and password to login!!!! OMG REALLY!!! So totally didn't read my email. Cowboy outfit springs to mind.
