Sports zone hosted a softball tournament for 16 and 18 year old girls in January 2021. During which a winter weather watch and a travel advisory was in place. All major roads were shut down including 465 and 74. Instead of canceling the 1AM game to put the safety of the young drivers first. They said they would not move the game. There should be a better way to deal with winter weather. When the entire county is shut down and they do not cancel games there is a problem. Instead of making adjustments and being flexible they told us they would give us a discount for a tournament next year, but our team is 18U and I will be in college next year. We had to forfeit a tournament in order to not risk a possible accident or death of a young driver. I can’t believe this happened and I have lost all respect for this facility. I hope they figure this out before they find their self in a court against a mourning family. Please find a better way to deal with schedule adjustments.

It is a fairly nice concept except for how busy it was. Besides no seating the overcrowding to me was a concern and how little was being done for COVID restrictions. The snack bar was a little questionable as for how it was ran, the negative attitudes and cleanliness.

Nice place to play the game. Terrible place to find a parking space. Tight corridors and places to watch them kids play. At least for basketball and volleyball. Softball seems to have plenty of room. If you want or need to social distance, it can be difficult.

This is the worst facility I’ve been to. The parking lot was packed and had trash on the ground. Getting in the building too many people came in at once while trying to be checked in. Over crowded and did not enforce COVID restrictions. Many people (spectators and even some of the coaches-per rules) without face masks on or did not have them on properly. Limited softball to one parent, but had several different activities going on where there were multiple people in attendance for one player. Many of which did not leave after the game if they had a break in between, while not allowing softball parents to enter until 5-15 minutes before the game started. Last visit, they did not want to allow a few of the players in because they “reached their max.” Yet this time, people are all over the place and not staying within the sport area. They did not properly have umpires for all of the games and instead had a staff member umpiring. For this not to be the first round of tournaments, rules should be written, known, followed and consistent. Facility management did not do their job very well.
