If you like Castle ruins in beautiful places, then I highly recommend! Park on the road and it’s a 10-15min walk to the castle over swampy land - have waterproof shoes, or be prepared to get wet feet like myself! To get to the top, you either need to climb up the rocks or go across what’s left of the bridge.

It's just magical place. What a little find. Short walk to the place, yes you have to go down someone's drive! But it's allowed! Just no car access. Once you get close however this is when the views and place just takes your breath away. Very small actual castle, but a great place to see none the less. The draw bridge has fallen through.. so a little bit of climbing is required. (Note very little parking close by so expect to park on the road)
Off the beaten track with amazing views. An abandoned castle that you can get on top of if you don't mind climbing a few rocks. Great views and amazing sheep herding place. The road there isn't as scary as most people here say, the typical 1 lane with passing points. The walk may be a little bit muddy though
A wonderful visit.Absolutely stunning views in a place steeped in history. It's worth having a read up about the warrior princess!. Be prepared for windy wind!..
Dunscaith Castle is a good place to visit. There are also some great virtual tours and reconstruction material available online.
