One of the oldest and most well known traditional "pice hotels" in kolkata. Do drop in if you savour authentic bengali food or even wish to have a taste. The place is very clean which I liked. Service is prompt and though it is not as cheap as one might think, it is reasonable. Do not expect fine dining. Carry your own bottle of water.

One of the best and authentic Bengali food serving third generation hotel in Kolkata. Tradition is kept alive by serving food on banana leaves alongside water in earthen pots. The taste is too good to resist.

This place is pure nostalgia for the people of kolkata. I came to know about this place few months back from my father . This use to be the favorite place for many freedom fighters & people of calcutta (now Kolkata). Don't expect fancy seating arrangements or luxury decor this is a basic restaurant with good quality bengali food . The menu changes every day , you can the check the board on the wall for their menu available at that point of time . You can have your veg meal for around Rs 120. As this is a pice hotel they charge you for clay glass & banana leaf (water & food is served on this).

*Follow kolkata.foodie.dibyajit at Instagram and Zomato for more drooling pics and unbiased reviews* I would not say this to be the best Pice Hotel of the city but anyone who is from Kolkata or come to Kolkata must visit this place for thr nostalgia and also for the Bengali delicacies. You will find all long-lost items from the Bengali household kitchens here. Most of the people come here to try the variety of fishes. Fishes are tasty but costly over here. If you are not a fish lover, you must try their Chicken/Egg Curry. Other must haves should be dal, jhuri alilu bhaja, vegetables of the day and some chutney at the end. Best time to visit is during 12.30 to 1.30 in thr afternoon or else, you might find some of the items are finished. kolkata.foodie.dibyajit
