Beautiful building. We stopped here on our way to Smithville as I was visiting film locations for Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life. This courthouse was used as the backdrop for a scene.

Classic Texas county courthouse! Beautiful building and worth a walk-through if you're in town even if just to check out the lovely old woodwork and classic architecture. I love the courtyard and fountain and can imagine sitting there in the stillness during a break or during lunch.
