The Least Recommended Restaurant in France… On the final part of my Mont-Saint-Michel tour, I visited “La Ferme” with my husband. We almost starved to death and we were looking forward to having a splendid French dinner. The reason we visited there was because it’s close to the shuttle bus station, just a few minutes by foot. Also, there were many high starred reviews. The atmosphere of the restaurant was better than I expected thanks to the fantastic night view of Mont-Saint-Michel. The staff was also friendly and nice. As a starter, my husband’s carrot soup was sweet and warm but… it was more like pumpkin soup. My shrimp and conch were dried and cold. Even more, the pork steak was chewy like I was eating plastic. The mashed potatoes looked tasty but as soon as I tried it, the smell reminded me of a tea that older people like to drink in Korea. The lamb steak was not bad but… I’m not sure why I had to pay an extra 8 Euros for a “nothing-special” steak. This restaurant left a bad taste in my mouth. IMO they don’t even deserve ONE STAR.

We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary here. We ordered the carrot soup- which was delicious. Vegetable Terine was also okay. Unfortunately the bread was stale and butter came at the end of our meal. We ordered the honey glazed chicken and also the pork chop. Both were good. Dessert selection was slim - I do not recommend the Calvados liquor desserts- the alcohol is overpowering.

We liked a lot. First, all the measures due to the pandemic were kept. There was space among the tables and everything felt clean. The food was tasty, the salty lamp was super good. The steak was also nicely cooked as asked. The desserts were not that good. I am not a person with great appettite so for me the food was enough. However, if i was really hungry maybe i would leave a bit hungry too. The portions are small for people that love food and with great apettite. Also it was pretty cold inside so just bring an extea jacket. The stuff was super friendly and nice!

Really nice place with interesting cozy decor. The food is tasty, the price is correct and it’s was one of the best ice cream in all my life (the apple ice cream).

Wow this place is amazing. 18-22 euro per main dish. But I would have gladly paid more for such a fantastic experience. We had the naturally salty lamb and it was incredible, as were all of the lovely root vegetable purées served alongside it. The carrot velouté soup was out of this world. To get into the restaurant you need an access code for the gate. Just call them to get it.

A surprisingly good restaurant among all the touristy restaurants! We read the good reviews and decided to try it out. It is hidden out past the parking lot at the end of the road. Luckily, the shuttle bus stops right next to it. Both my friend and I had the set menu which was reasonably priced. I added a delicious cheese course to my meal, which included 3 Normandy cheeses. Service was nice, but a bit slow. Lovely atmosphere in a converted barn.
