LG plus utility company internet service provider, is not to the same standard as US companies. If a US utility has an outage they'll work on the outage, and call crews out and fix it until projects complete. And they'll refund you the time that you were without service. That is simply not the case here in Korea. We recently had an outage on yongsan Base, and the Tech. Was not able to fix the problem, so he left the project and left a portion of the base without internet for several days. Until the work week. And schedule a crew to assist in repairs. When I asked about being compensated for the time that I was without service, their answer was we can't do that it wasn't our fault it was a third party. And my reply was. As a customer I'm not receiving service for goods that I'm paying for. As a foreigner, expect subpar customer service, a general lack of follow through and Technical knowledge. Along with poor maintenance. But they're the only provider in town so you just get to live with it.
This internet is horrible. I have the 100mbps package in casey and its never been at 100 mbps. for the past 2 months it hasnt even been passed 50mbps. I call and call and all they say is they will change the frequency, which never works or helps in any way. I wouldnt recommend paying 70 bucks for the 100mbps, or getting any service for that matter.
It's a main building of LG U Plus which is one of three major telecommunication company in South Korea. It has a free library in which you can borrow or read books. It also has a convience store and 3 ATMs on B1 floor.
