When booking accommodation I took time to read reviews and felt somewhat apprehensive after viewing some comments, however in my experience and the vast majority of my friends love living at IQ Manchester gardens. When booking be aware that ‘silver en-suite plus’ is premium as it’s the top floor (the best views) the bronze en-suite plus are exactly the same just on lower floors. I currently stay in copper en-suite plus which is the smallest however I still love it. Anything ‘plus’ has been refurbed to a really decent quality. It is slightly pricey, however I’m so glad a chose to stay here. It’s a really good location, the reception are always lovely, maintenance are on the ball with repairs. It’s a shame about Covid causing the study area to close and of course this has effected many people’s studies, however these are unprecedented circumstances and overall I’m really enjoying my stay! Lost a star because circuit (the laundry company they use) absolutely rinses your bank account. Apart from that I highly recommend

Nice, green place with a beautiful common space. Nevertheless, whenever you need help from reception take your time and patience to the limits as they will not help at all or either be very rude and vague with the answers. On the other hand, the maintenance staff was super nice and helpful, absolutely respectful to the residents. I just loved them and many times they made my day. Absolutely grateful for making things easier. I love them.

Thank You for increasing my student debt by 6000, despite only living for 2 weeks in my room. Given the current circumstances (Covid-19) you would expect more leniency in the contract. However, this is not the case. It is very evident that this company is only interested in taking student’s money. There is no definite contact number of your landlord and your site team can hardly make any senior decisions. I will not be returning at IQ for the next two or three years of my study at UoM. In conclusion, I do not recommend this company to anyone.

I was staying there during my MSc. For the amount of money I was paying (109p/pw) it was really great for en-suite room on the 3rd floor. There is a bus stop for 50-51 next to it, there is a tesco express 10' away, and the oxford road is 12' from IQ MG (there is lidl/tesco there). The good thing is that postgrad students stay with postgrad students and it better for socialising and with the noise. There was a problem with the hot water or the absence of it that took several months to be resolved and I had to persist, other than that it was ok. The rooms small-ish and the bathroom is tiny but for 109pw it was totally acceptable. Oh they replaced the appliances immediately upon request. To sum up, it was a good value for money, but not exactly close to UoM.

Great accommodation with a very fair price, the rooms are decent and the staff are helpful. Maintenance is quick and easy if you need anything fixing, and the location is also great. Plus the internet connection is really good and never down. Can be a bit noisy at times and sometimes the hot water dosent work. But overall very good experience, will definitely be staying here again.
