Based on the looks of the library, it is not very appealing to the eye in comparison to other libraries. It doesn't have a modern feel or look to it. However, when it comes to functionality, it's on point. The employees are friendly, the computers work, they have a lot of activities for kids, family and the community at large and it is engaging. So if you can overlook appearance, we have a diamond in the rough in McDonough.

It appears that the County doesn't have high regard for its libraries, especially the main library. Why are there empty shelves and old books? Yes, the roads are nice, but they lead to a library that is underfunded and poorly maintained. I all too often take a longer drive to other counties who seem to care about their libraries/staff.
