We found Megan on the Birth Boot Camp website as the closest instructor to us, and we initially picked her because she was flexible about doing in-person or virtual classes. When we decided to go the virtual route, I was skeptical about paying the same amount for a remote class, but after going through the course (and the birth of our first child), the amount we paid was nowhere near what it was worth. Megan went above and beyond in helping us prepare for birth. She researched topics between classes to give us personalized information, she wasn’t afraid to try some exercises that seemed awkward at first, she analyzed how we were eating and kept us accountable to our own goals of exercise and relaxation, and she even shared personal information in her own life that gave us insight and confidence, as well as fostering trust and honesty. She consistently stayed on the virtual call with us past the allotted time when we had questions or needed clarification or encouragement. When things didn’t go the way we planned, Megan encouraged us to seek out multiple opinions and educate ourselves further, and since she had previously lived in our area, she was able to recommend people she knew personally for us to contact. In doing so, we were able to have peace about our decisions even when things didn’t go the way we had hoped.

I could not ask for more of what Megan can provide as a childbirth educator and doula. She has been an excellent help with me and my husband during our first journey of our pregnancy to birth. She has been there every single moment that I was in labor. I had a total of 21 hour labor and she has never left my side at all. She gave us all the necessary comfort and means to be able to carry out the birth that I have hoped for and in the end by all the graces of God we had a succesful homebirth. The class helped us to prepare for our birth and it's really edifying of how you handle pregnancy and birth naturally and Megan provided us with all the knowledge we need to know. It was a fun and entertaining experience for me and my husband. I would highly recommend Megan to any of my friends and collegues for she has exemplified all a momma could need and lean on during pregnancy and birth. It was overall a blessing to have known Megan and will be forever grateful for all she has helped us!
