I recently attended the \How to Start and Grow a Food/Baking Business\ class at The Cake Collective, which was hosted and taught by Csaba with Maria and Val, the co-owners of the space. I went into the class with a lot of anxiety about starting my business given my lack of knowledge about business and finance, but left feeling SO at ease after having every question answered! The material was so comprehensive, highly relevant, and taught with expertise. We went through real life examples and applied what we learned at every step. The best part is that they covered aspects of business like financial forecasting, figuring out costs and how to price your goods, tips for how to lower your expenses, and they even walked us through the process of constructing a business plan. The marketing information was also extremely useful, and I enjoyed the walk-through of the kitchen at the end. If you are thinking about it - JUST DO IT! I don't know why I waited so long.

Been over 2 months now after an initial phone conversation. Since then I wasn’t able to get a hold of anyone to book a walk through and get detailed information. Nobody answers the phone or returns the call even though I leave a voicemail no one replied to my email either. Finally I paid a visit recently, a nice lady who I forgot her name (sorry) opened the door for me, and gave me a quick walk through. I explained my situation and she wrote down my contact information. It’s been 3 business days since my visit and still nobody gave a call or sent an email. To be fair the place looks clean and well kept, seems like a good place to be. But unfortunately I’m worried about being able to consistently run my business there because communication seems to be a problem and I don’t know how I would depend on them with my orders, because if nobody answers the phone or reply emails how a business is supposed to make a reservations!!!

I attended their Starting a Food Based Business seminar. It was very informative and helpful. The staff their are all friendly and personable. I also toured their facility. It is a very clean, well thought out facility.
