We started working with Carol half way through my child’s third grade year. My daughter was reading at a first grade level, didn’t believe she would ever be able to read or write well, and was terrified the teacher was going to call on her in school. It was devastating. Carol explained that she would take some time to really understand how my daughter thinks and adjust her reading program accordingly. We went twice a week for about two years then once a week for about a year. It was well worth the investment. My daughters confidence is soaring, her test scores are off the charts, and is now getting straight A’s. Carol has the perfect balance of patience with holding the kids accountable. She found unique ways that motivated kids based on what was important to them. My daughter was convinced she was just going to be a “dumb person” and Carol was able to completely change that. She now believes she can do anything!
