We took a trip on the Christmas \steam illuminations\ this evening and it was wonderful. A real treat for my son who is train mad! Loads of lights, music, interactive events and steam trains, what's not to like. (May be a bit much for little ones as loads of visual and audio stimulus.)

Absolutely brilliant ride on the Christmas illuminated train! Absolutely outstanding for the children and to be honest adults too. We booked a table and 'high tea' for 2 adults and 2 children. Really good food waiting there at the table when we got to our seats. Everyone's temperature was checked before we got into the station. Unfortunately there is, as with almost all similar situations, a complete breakdown of social distancing in the queues and on the plaforms when trying to take pictures and wait for the doors to open. The staff were absolutely great but policing social distancing and the wearing of masks really isn't solely their responsibility we all have a social duty. I would do this trip again in a heart beat it was money well spent.

Beautiful ride on the illumination train. Sadly the last one for the Mid Hants due to tier 4. They did a fantastic job and truly a ray of light in these dark times.

I was very impressed with the effort put into the illuminations of the trains & stations. All very safe & an extremely enjoyable experience. The staff were efficient, friendly & adhered to all safety standards. Recommended for young & old alike

The railway right now is probably very quiet due to the covid , what a great evening we all had try it when it starts again, you we love it.
