I had never been here before so I really enjoyed my visit today. The kids petting corner is such a wonderful idea, the walk along the river to the waterfall is beautiful. The place is teeming with wildlife so, if like me, you enjoy photography then this place is for you.

Lovely area not far from the city centre people I have taken there love it and are surprised at how close it is to town, they have a few animals there, so good for little kids

One of the finest public parks in the country, filled with bridges, ruins old and new, great flora, artificial waterfalls and stepping stones.

Jesmond Dene is the name of a park in Newcastle & it is lovely. You can see all sort of wildlife, & when the rhododendrons are flowering, it is absolutly fabulous. It is a lovely walk for all the family & in the summer, it's nice to seat in the sun reading a book. There are benches, picnic area & a cafe what more could you ask for. There's even a Pet Corner. The only thing, I would ask for a bit more sunshine, but even when it raibs it's lovely.

Beautiful place to visit, a good couple of miles to walk full of paths, nooks and cranny and waterfalls. There is an old water mill to explore although some of the area around it has been closed off because of a landslide. At the other end is pets corner with smaller animals like Birds, sheep, goats, pigs, hens, geese, rabbits etc. Right beside that is a very small, but well kept park, really only suitable for up to 7 years but even they might find there isn't enough to entertain them. There is a lovely grassy area for picnics, a Thomas the tank engine train that runs along the path (only lasts for about 4 minutes and is about 1.50 each), and a small cafe in the Jesmond Dene centre with public toilets and a small shop. The place is lovely and there is a lot to discover.

Great location in the middle of such a busy city! Lovely for a walk or just some time to sit. Great little 'Pets Corner' and lush waterfall. Definitely a place I can see myself returning to.
