Location:Great!. Parking:Good amount, bathrooms:close to pier. Overall I have been here many times and have enjoyed the location. The pier is clean and with a Ruby's at the and is a nice touch. The only missing from where I sit is fire pits but many beaches have removed them...to see many more of my pier images go to richamengill.com

Great place to escape with the family and fish, play and swim when the weather is good. Plan on bringing a cart of sort to walk from your vehicle to the pier. Unless you get very lucky and find street parking you will have to pay for parking. I understand that rates vary depending on the time of the year and if you pay for daily or hourly.

Nice place, mostly people fishing all through the pier. Beautiful beach and parking is pretty reasonable. You get awesome views of the shoreline and Newport Beach city. Pier can be a lot crowded on weekends, place near Ruby's diner on the pier is very dirty and smells terrible because of all the waste from baits, fish remains and bird droppings. Not sure how people sit there and eat in middle of that mess left behind from fishing and ton of people still fishing. Could be lot better if the area is cleaned periodically. Overall a good experience.

Love this place. Lots of good restaurants (yes, can be pricey). Fun to take a walk on the beach and up and down the pier. You can watch lots of people fishing off the pier and even see fish in the water and jumping as they plow through all the little schooling fish. It is a short walk to the crazy wedge, where when the surf is high, you can see monster waves up close. You have to get a balboa bar while you are there. My only complaint is that I wish Studio Cafe was still there. It had the best drinks, dinners, and live jazz.
