Site is in good area close to Newquay but couldn't really go on foot as dangerous country lanes no paths. Also our pitch was quite muddy when we got there so the wheels on our camper sunk in a bit. Managed to put up our awning. But we had really strong winds and rain so decided not to take th van out. Next day we went out. But day after we had another storm with more rain. Tried to take the van out we were stuck in the mud. Had to be towed out which then the owners told us we could no longer drive back into our space. This was really annoying as our awning is a drive away one. They wanted us to move pitch but we didn't want to ad all our awning was filled up with our fridge table chairs wardrobe etc it took us ages to set up and we didn't want to m9ve just for 2 days. I found the site manager very rude to us. I know u can't help the weather but there's no need to be rude. We had neighbours both side of us who also had problems with owners. One who had gone there last 4yrs said he wouldn't go back again. It also says there is wifi but good luck trying to connect to it you can't even find it to connect it's very weak. When we left as we drove out the gate we waved and said bye to the site manager. He said nothing and looked straight through us. Safe to say we won't return to this Site!!!!

Clean tidy site enough space between caravans. No recycling no info given when we arrived about site or area, other than best taxi company to use. We had an issue with electricity tripping 3 times whilst onsite. We found out they had very low wattage onsite which meant we dare not plug too many things in the caravan for fear of no electric . When we reported the elec the first time we were promptly told the problem was our caravan, after a bit of discussion they reluctantly agreed to check. Turns out it wasn't just us and the elec box had been opened so any times the screws were warn. Would not return to this site at 35.00 per night it wasn't cheap. Very poor customer service.
Campsite was adequate for what we needed during our stay and inexpensive. We stayed with a Vw T5 and a dog in the paddock. The only thing visitors should be aware of is the regulations the owners have put in place for covid. Toilets close at 10 showers at 9. We weren't aware when booking and these were actually not mentioned in full at all. The showers operate via a box on the toilet wall, that you drop 20p into for 5 minutes of shower time. While i sympathise with the need to reduce moisture, this really was a pain in the butt. It would be better to have a prepay method or tokens. Who carries change around in this day and age and when you need to have a shower after a day out, the reception wasn't always open for changing up money. Windows were also open as wide as they can go, for the same reason, but I do think that this is a cause for concern as there is no privacy in the women's toilet when showering, which would make me worry if showering children, as the showers face the path. I would recommend a good extraction fan, or dehumidifier or blinds. Also, there wasn't a cut off time for arrival that I was aware of, yet the owner seemed rather put out, so make sure you keep them informed of your arrival time.
Have been staying here for years. Basic but good amenities. Lovely staff. Very happy and will continue to use for years to come.
A tranquil and friendly touring park, ideally situated near Newquay’s beautiful beaches.
