Best known for its Christmas light display, Niles Veterans' Memorial Waterfall offers some great photo opportunities. Now, the big question-where do you park? The Niles Park District does not offer much information, so I am here to help! If using Google Maps, look southeast along North Milwaukee Avenue and you will immediately find what looks like a turn around. That is the parking lot for the park. So next challenge-how do you get to the lot? DO NOT (IF AT ALL POSSIBLE) use the condo complex entrance on West Touhy Avenue. While there is a small sign providing some direction to the waterfall lot, it is not very visible, the the warning signs about driving through the complete are VERY visible. Instead, from the corner of West Touhy Avenue & North Milwaukee Avenue, go south for about 0.1 miles to Newark Avenue (first street to the west). Turn west on Newark Avenue and turn north on the corner. Go about 0.1 miles again and the entrance to the lot is to east (right). Make sure you do not accidentally park in the apartment building lot. Enjoy your visit!
