The theater was amazing, so was the dinosaur exhibit. I am so happy we went during a special event. The only down side was several activities were closed due to Covid and I feel there is a lot of unused space were more exhibits or activities could be added.

This is a great option for children of all ages. My son is 1.5 years old and he still had fun. I do think more could be done to frequently clean high-touch points during COVID. Once every 2 hours is not a lot considering how many people come through. Otherwise, very pleased with our experience.
Went to Pompeii and it was great! Lots of areas for kids. This is my first time since they moved from the old building (the Shakespeare theater it is called I believe). The cylindrical design is nice, keeping you moving from the bottom to the top. Would like to see a show here see if it holds up to the old Pink Floyd light shows that the old place did. So good deal for your kids to go and tons to keep them occupied. Did not eat so coffee and snack place is a question I cannot answer. Check the Science Center out!!
This is a solid place to bring younger children - like 5 years old and younger but not so much for older than that. It's educational and informative. Adults might even learn a thing or two. You might want to plan a half day or bring a lunch unless you want to eat Subway as that's the only thing they offer.
Usually love this place but was disappointed by the same displays as years so, much empty space, and having paid and purchased \timed\ tickets to the Pompeii exhibit I was shocked that the group before our \time slot\ was still in there perusing. There must have been 100 people in the exhibit...no way to socially distance... My anxiety was full force because it was so crowded. I shouldn't have gone out.. I've been isolating for months but my mom really wanted to see the exhibit and it was advertised as socially distanced. It was not. This day was a disappointment. Sorry.
