Comfortable cinema showing unusually International films. Good choice of drinks and snacks at bar. A little pricey compared to other cinemas but worth it in my opinion.

The Curzon Cinema in Oxford is situated on the Roof Terrace (accessed by escalator and lifts) of the Westgate Centre. It is set over 2 floors accessed by stairs or a lift, with 5 screens. There is a café-bar with the main dishes being pizzas, along with other dishes and salads. Also there is a lovely bar with a lounge to enjoy a drink at leisure, particularly if you don't want to sit through 20 minutes of ads and trailers. The studios are spacious with more than ample legroom. The seats are upholstered and can recline, and are very comfortable, with settee-type (double) seats at the rear. Each studio has 4 removable seats for 2 wheelchair spaces. A variety of films are shown, not just the blockbusters, also ballet and opera. Membership packages are available. It is more expensive than other cinemas around but reasonable off-peak, and the cost definitely makes up for the experience. I have found the staff very friendly. The Westgate Centre is best accessed by bus (there are 5 Park and Rides in Oxford). There is an underground car park which gets very busy, as are all of the car parks in Oxford.

Fabulous cinema, roomy and well spaced apart seats, steeply banked so that even the 'back' is not far from screen, and zero visibility issue if someone sits right in front of you. This is a really really great place to see a film.

Good little cinema, but must book online. Great choice of independent and festival films on offer. I wish I had one locally

Awesome Cinema. Bastion of British film. Excellent sound and big screen. Fixed seating. Can bring in loads of food and drinks. Pizza, desserts and drinks aplenty. Well stocked bar. Well worth membership too as you get free tickets and discounts on food. There is a classic membership which gives you four free passes to o which is well worth it. Student memberships available too for a discount.
