Tried to call to ask about available inventory, and the woman (Katie, I believe) was clearly harried. She informed me that Google Maps has their hours incorrect, and the store wasn’t open yet- which is fair, but also affects neither their inventory nor her manners. In a 3 minute phone call, she informed me (at 6:45am) that they won’t be open until “tomorrow morning”, with no clarification, and then hung up on me in the middle of a sentence. It’s more than understandable that she may have been busy opening or dealing with other variables, but unless the building was physically on fire, an extra 5 seconds to get the word “goodbye” out wouldn’t have caused her any MORE problems, and would have been treating her customers in a civilized manner. Given the amount of options within a mile of this Wawa, I’ve definitely been deterred for life... I mean, if she’s THAT busy before the store opens, I can’t imagine burdening them further with monetary transactions. It would just be rude! As is, their employees don’t even have time to finish the calls they’re PAID to answer!
This review is strictly for the gas station: Wawa gas is my favorite gas station in Piscataway for two reasons: 1) The price 2) The service The prices here are consistently low for regular 87 octane. The best part is the service attendant Andrew (redhead). This guy always brightens my day and tries to make conversation. For example last night he asked how our weekend was going, and what we were drinking (we had a bubble tea in our hand). This isn't just a one time occurrence. Andrew is consistently friendly and makes getting gas a very pleasant experience. Please give this man a raise!
As some of the other reviewers pointed out- they mess up the orders. I ordered a brkfast chicken burrito and guess what there is no chicken in it , just the eggs. My chicken sandwich was also missing some of the toppings and chicken taste was a bit off. This Wawa is closest to where I live but next time I am driving further to a different Wawa.
Got a hair strand with my bagel this morning. Bad experience. That staff are friendly and cheerful. Must be a great company to work for.
