Easy and straightforward process of hiring canoes. How to use the canoe and where to go on the river is explained sufficiently before setting out and current price of hire for 1 hour is 20. (Life jackets, paddles and barrel for valuables included)

Set off at 10am, beautiful day to be out kn the river. Great staff, nice clean and professional service, good quality of craft and equipment. Bus ride was not long to launch and staff unload and get you out into the water very efficiently and safely. A great value for money experience, would highly recommend. Went with my dad for first time who has been numerous times. Great place!

Friendly and well organised throughout. Easy check in and got us on the water for our full day trip as advertised. The distances and expected travel times were very accurate allowing us to relax and enjoy the scenery and a couple of picnic stops without worrying about making the cutoff for returning the canoes. The full day trip is 15 miles and is a good 6.5 hours of leisurely paddling, but you need to have good shoulders, else go for the half day and test yourself first.

I went here on a bike ride from Monmouth. A lot of families with dogs and children. I would not recommend cycling up here to younger children who are not experienced because there are steep hills, speed bumps, cars, canoe clubs occasionally and many pedestrians. I enjoyed an excellent ice cream before cycling back to Monmouth.
