Beautiful historical Cathedral in the heart of Monaco and Europe

This Roman-Byzantine style building was constructed in 1875 using white stone from La Turbie. It houses the tombs of Monaco’s former Princes. Inside, alongside the magnificent high altar and the Episcopal throne made from white Carrara marble, stands a retable by the Niçois painter Louis Bréa, which dates from the year 1500.
Built in Roma-Byzantine style, from a white stone which is said to get brother when it rain. Was erected in 1875 where ones was St. Nichols Church. This cathedral is the resting place for several members of the Grimaldi family, included Princess Grace and Rainier III.
Amazing architecture and a good example of a Roman-Bizantine church. The inside part is a must go. Everything is delicate and beautiful. Some members of the Royal Family were buried there. I recommend the visit.
For those who like to spend time watching religious paintings, architectural points, for those who pay a visit to the desist prince and princess, and perhaps for those who pray. The cathedral has many aspects and different interests for a reason to pay a visit. It is a historic place among the others in Monaco.

It is a beautiful cathedral inside and outside. You'll find Grace Kelly's tomb there under her birth name 'Gratia Patricia' They required some dress code as both, female and male, wearing shoulders covered. Shorts are allowed.
