Very nice and clean room,hotel like a hotel its between 3 and 4 stars,big big game here play the staff they are extremely nice and polite,bfast should be better,there is not so much to choose like you can see from the photos,you have 3 options Rice whit chicken,or 2 scrambled eggs or 2 normal eggs,and there is small buffet whit some fruit pineapple and watermelon,and one dish whit extra rice and some soup. But for this price is very good And you can rent a scooter for 250 or 300 bath.
Room is fine, staff is friendly, meals are yummy at a fair price. Bathroom is simple, but that’s okay too if you don’t want to spend hours there. Swimming pool is great, and they have a small gym too. The north entrance of the old city is about 15 minutes by foot.
Not fancy but it’s the best value in the area for sure. I had the corner room on the 3rd floor with a view of pool and fitness center which was sweet. Staff was friendly. I didn’t like breakfast much but the price was fine. I booked beforehand through AGODA who totally overcharged the normal rate. Book in person if you can. I do believe AGODA takes more than 10%
I'm in and out of Chiang Mai 3 times a year and always stay at sakulchai. Here you get a decent room and at a very competitive price. Combined with the 24hr reception and security, swimming pool, and cheap restaurant, I'd say it's near unbeatable anywhere else in Chiang Mai.
Live looks better than the pictures. Pretty clean and comfortable bed. The pool does not scare away. Very good wifi. Unfortunately, the walls are quite thin and you can hear everything clearly going on in the corridor. I do not recommend breakfast, it does not pay at all. It is better to go to the surrounding street foods
Pros: location is good, close to malls and eateries Cons: 1. Moldy ceiling, moldy bathroom 2. Horrible management, we booked a Superior room and was given a room with moldy ceilings and moldy bathroom. We complained to the management, first they said they were fully booked they could not changed us to another room, which was a lie, because there were many same room category available online. They did nothing to move us to another room. When I offered to pay to upgrade to the deluxe room, they readily agreed ! All they care about is money, they cared nothing about customer satisfaction! Excellent way to gain bad reviews!
The hotel is very nice, but staff could not understand or speak English. They do not even call a taxi for the customer or answer to a simple question at the restaurant. EDIT: I went back there and the staff recognised me after one year welcoming with big smiles and happiness. It really moved me. They also improved very much as I expected because I noticed they were new. I had no issue this time whatsoever. Very friendly and food was great. Can't wait to be back there. Thank you.
