Tutor Doctor is an amazing service if I could give them 10 stars I would. Daphne does an excellent job of really listening to the needs of the whole team in engaging the student needs. We couldn’t be more pleased in operations of how the program works. The tutor comes to your child. For us- we work odd schedules that are not consistent week to week so our tutor comes to grandmas some days, the local library other days and our home. They really want what’s best for the student. They communicate with the entire team-school, parents, grandma and student. My child feels more confident, structured, and at times ahead of the class at times. I can see such a huge difference in her demeanor towards school. She comes home proud to show her grades, show her improvements and eager to start her sessions with her tutor. Daphne the owner keeps in constant contact to ensure the match with our tutor is still meeting the needs of our child! Our tutor Janet is phenomenal! She lets me know where our strengths and weaknesses are in our child. And what areas need more focus-she re-evaluates on a week to week basis as she improves. I could go on and on about our progress with using this service but I don’t want to ramble and have kids to take care of so if you’re looking to make an investment in your child’s future give Daphne a call and mention you read this to her.

Daphne and the tutors at Tutor Doctor are wonderful! We used their services for SAT preparation for our son. The tutors helped to determine a starting point and came up with a plan to improve scores in a way that was manageable with other commitments. They really take a personal interest in their students!

Tutor Doctor has been absolutely fantastic for my daughter and instrumental in her success this past year (special needs/first year at CSUMB). Each tutor has provided so much more, in addition to specific teaching of course work. In particular, they have provided mentorship that encourages my daughter to go above and beyond what is expected on 'paper'. At the end of this past school year, we witnessed her making decisions to attend extra study sessions and non-required class sessions when in the past this would not have been the case. I believe Tutor Doctor's training of executive functioning skills and motivating her to be consistently focused will make a lifetime difference!!
