Really friendly staff, dropped of a cormorant duck that was injured and they were very kind to it and efficient with the intake process

My daughter took care of a juvenile goose that wandered into our yard for 3 weeks, and we bought it goose food, orchard grass hay, and bought a kids swimming pool for it. Then one of its wings wasn't fully retracting, so we brought it to IBR. They took the goose in the carrier we brought, then gave the carrier back to my wife and kid without the goose- no chance for a goodbye, not even a chance of waiting outside to hear a prognosis! Then a few days later we found out they euthanized the goose, breaking our hearts. :(

Great info from knowledgeable staff. They rescue birds who would die if not helped

A dedicated staff is there 24/7 to look after the rescued wildlife residing in the unique pens and cages structured for their particular needs. We were allowed entry for a beautifully executed art installation benefit which included a variety of speakers, the nature of the artwork and a detailed tour of the small but significant facilities that are as much about learning new methods of helping birds regain their health as consistently updating their fund of education to better serve their feathered clients needs on a shoestring budget. Closed to the public I highly recommend attending the rare fundraiser activities the facility sponsors.
