Our goal is to find every animal a "forever home". The Shelter is staffed mainly by volunteers and is 100% funded by private donations - we receive no funding from local, state or federal sources. The Scituate Animal Shelter is dedicated to the providing exceptional care and permanent placement of all adoptable animals entrusted to us. We are recognized as a valuable community resource for the care and placement of homeless animals as well as for the outreach services we provide to the children, seniors and low-income pet owners of the region.
