From the name of Archer Road the three Squares have been named after Epsom Derby Winners ridden by the Victorian champion Jockey Frederick J Archer. Archer was Champion Jockey from 1873 to 1886. Melton was the winner of the 1885 Epsom Derby Winner in a time of 2:44. Owned by the 20th Baron Hastings. Trained by Mathew Dawson.
