A very transitional eel place, we had 2 eel dishes that has Internal organs removed. Great Japanese dining experience, with good food! We couldn’t speak Japanese, but the server was very nice helping us with everything. Would totally recommend this place :)

It is a great restaurant with great atmosphere and great people. Although I wasn’t sure if I was able to eat eel but the eel plate with simmered eggs were delicious!

Amazing food, and good prices. Very traditional dining experience. Don't even think of going in if you don't speak Japanese, though.

This is my favorite Tokyo/Edo style restaurant. Basically these were a fast food in Edo. But please note that these are no longer cheap stuff. Also you need to sit on the floor, no chair. This restaurant serves fresh water fishes, loaches, eels, and in winter catfishes that were prior cooked to remove nasty things then you cook in a shallow pan to the level you like . They offer also excellent appetizers and to conclude barbecued eel or loach rice bowl, etc. To be honest most Japanse people at at my age did not love this kind of fishes due to mud tastes. But we did not have affordable protein stuff. So myself and spouse can understand that this is the art of cooking. Ordering instructions, based on my typical menu: 1. start with appetizers like crispy fried loaches, like chips, and a bowl of tuna with miso paste (Nuta); Beer is fine at this step 2. Order BBQ eel or loach on rice bowl as these take tens of minutes to arrive, earlier the better; I shift to Sake 3. Order loach pot, there are 2 types, w/ or w/o bones, I have both styles. Available toppings are leeches, tofu and more. These will be served shortly Their representatives speak English well. Enjoy! by this you enjoy Edo food. note: 2 loach pots for 1 per person
