- they group the tourists in one shop and the local in the other - menu is really not well made. 10.000 without any prestigious ingredient. If you want, you need to pay bigger menu, but you will just have more tempura instead of changing the previous one by more prestigious ingredients. So basically, you will eat a lot of fries meals, so really hard to eat all. You will be disgusted already at the middle. I would prefer paying more and just increase the prestige of the ingredients instead of the quantity. good staff, really kind and nice in the « tourist one », otherwise really bad in the other one, we just got rejected and felt like we were disturbing great tempura, really original and tasty

Great experience in Japanese style rooms. Excellent for groups or special occasions. Kyoto is famous for vegetables and they use local ingredients where they can. Though tempura is deep fried, the base being vegetables and fish makes it on the healthier side. Good service too by both the master handling the tempura and the staff.
We love our private room experience! Peaceful dinner with delicious food. So happy that our hotel was able to made reservation for us! Worth the visit!
Super friendly service from the e point you make contact with them. Set menu is very comprehensive. You get tempura all the way from prawn to various kind of vegetables. Food quality is very good. Highly recommend.
They have 3 branches all along this street, can easily make reservation on their website. Overall an incredible experience. NOT oily at all! We had the “Gion” set. Very filling. Entire meal took around 2.5hrs. The one with uni wrapped in seaweed exceptional!
