Beautiful island just off the coast of Tenby, Wales. Accessible by a 30 min boat journey. The island is impeccable, with monastery located in the centre and a light house a short walk away. The monks make perfumes and chocolate on the island and can be purchased from a shop on the island. The island includes a fantastic quiet beach, with white, soft sand and a number of walking trails. Amazing place.

Favourite place on the planet. Lots of walks. Peace, calm and silence. Good with the family with the central cafe area and play things. Great little shop and post office. The perfume shop is a must - stock up on soap made from the oils etc made on the island. Walk up to the lighthouse and buy some fudge on your way to fortify you - and whilst there drop into the old priory chapel and say a little prayer.

Superb Abbey, great gardens, churches, a perfume shop, a chocolate factory and many walks around the island. Lovely regular boat trips to and from the island. Even a post office where you can purchase a postcard and stamp write it and get it specially franked and sent from Caldey.

Having travelled by boat from Tenby, which is about 20 minutes, you arrive on the Isle of Caldey. Straight away you notice the quietness of the island, which continues on the walk up to the Abbey, in the Abbey grounds and in the Abbey village. There are gift shops, chocolate factory, lighthouse, toilets and a cafe area for you to visit, besides the Churches of St David and the Abbey itself. Enjoy the visit but respect the beautiful atmosphere, especially on a warm day

Beauty, peace and tranquility can be found here. Get your walking shoes on and explore the wonderful island of Caldey. It has 2 small shops, 1 selling fragrances made on the Island and the other souvenirs. A small shop selling sandwiches, hot and cold drinks and ice creams, or take a picnic and wander up to the lighthouse and drink in the breathtaking views. Just heavenly.
