I contacted Marshall Land Rover Newbury and worked with Stuart to obtain a quote on a Range Rover Sport SVR which was more than acceptable however, the car was sold before i had chance to pay the deposit, my fault not Stuarts! He was completely professional throughout and did what he said he would when he said he would! I have now purchased from another Marshall Land Rover but would give Stuart a shout when i am on the hunt for a new RR. The 5* are for Stuart A..........

I recently bought a new car from Marshall and dealt with Rory Staunton & I was delighted with the service I received. I received fantastic service from Rory (sales). The dealerships are at first glance very similar now. New, smart, decent, so it really is the people that make a difference. It was Rory at Marshall Newbury that got me over the line on buying my car. There are a lot of keen deals out there, there are a lot of decent competitors, a lot of shiny showrooms, but Rory's enthusiasm, professionalism, communication and commitment to perfect customer service meant I went for a Landrover in the end. He was absolutely \First Class\ and I would recommend him; Rory was excellent to deal with.

Unfortunately Covid prevented me from inspecting the vehicle prior to the purchase. You can only do click & collect. The car was not ready for collection at the stated time, we had to wait 2 hours even though they had a whole week to prepare the vehicle. On a very brief inspection of the vehicle before it had been valeted I was disappointed to see what should be shiny black trim of the centre console was terribly scratched. On mentioning this Stuart just said they are mostly like this and would do nothing about it. The least I would of expected is an attempt at polishing the scratches out or replacement parts if not possible to polish out. The interior of the car was not cleaned as far as I could tell, I will be having to have a professional valet to tidy it up. It was very difficult to negotiate a reasonable price, they expect to earn top money in return I would expect a top quality second hand car. This experience has been a big lesson for me to learn to walk away from a deal if not completely satisfied.
