During the pandemic: A Friday night takeout dinner from Restaurant Pigor, located on Wellington street in Verdun, Quebec. On the menu: • Beef tartare (Filet mignon, Hazelnuts, Comté cheese) • Truffle fries (Potato fries, parmesan, truffle oil) • Brussel sprouts Caesar salad (Brussel sprouts, lardon, parmesan) • Vegan Falafel (Chickpeas, coco mint sauce) Have been waiting for this restaurant to reopen, after it being on winter hiatus for a few months... And this was one of the reasons why. A great "spring is in the air" kind of beef tartare. Perfectly spiced and dressed, fresh, filet mignon beef tartar, enhanced by thinly sliced Compté cheese and roasted hazelnuts. Hard to get enough of it. The truffle fries; lightly covered with parmesan cheese and truffle oil, which makes them the perfect companion for the beef tartare. The brussel sprouts Caesar salad is one of the staples of this restaurant. Roasted brussel sprouts mixed in with parmesan, pieces of smoky lardon and sweet dressing, is heavenly. The Falafels are fresh, light, delicious, and work great as a main or a side dish. Instagram: @restaurantpigor Before pandemic: A brand new neighborhood Restaurant. Both the presentation and the flavors of the dishes are pure bliss. The staff is very knowledgeable and sociable. Wouldn't think twice about recommending this place to anyone. I've been meaning to try Pigor for a while now, and finally got to check them out. Plates are somewhere in the middle between tapas and main dishes, and the waitress suggested our party of 4 split a bunch of dishes. Not everyone likes to do this, but I do! The carpaccios and tartares were perfect. A surprising favorite was the celeriac faux-sotto, super creamy and rich. Desserts were very good too. Interesting cocktail list, a couple of Farnham beers, and lots of natural wines, so you can't go wrong whatever you choose. Service was excellent too, we were in a festive mood and the staff was right on board with us. I'll definitely come here again.
Great place overall. Friendly service, nice cocktails and wine selection but a don't go there for a beer the selection is very limited. The mains were good but pretty basic and slightly overpriced.

The food and service were great. Unfortunately, we will not go back. The cooks were having a domestic in the kitchen and it totally ruined our dinner. One was constantly bullying the other and it was quite embarrassing and uncomfortable. We work in the industry and seeing behaviours like this one in an open kitchen is simply unacceptable. All the best for the future! It's already hard enough to get sufficient staffing to operate restaurants, nothing justifies harassement like that in the workplace.
The food was very good and the prices were ok (it's more of a treat yourself place). The tartare was good but was a bit fade. The service was good and the little terrace very cute!

Amazing and delightful service. Two sisters and an incredibly talented chef take you on an exceptional dining experience. Highly recommended, imported wine that you cannot get locally.
