Known for there meats.. Also a great selection of local brews and wines. Fresh, made in store, sushi. They have a big selection of fancy cheeses, fresh baked loves of bread, local and organic produce. I feel like a salesman!.. this place is the one of the best oldschool grocery stores I've ever been to. There is gas for sale in the parking lot.

I am a big fan of shopping locally and supporting small businesses. That being said, Sentry is more than a little overpriced on all their I have purchased. Where I live there are no \grocery stores\ close by, and there are some things I just do not want to buy at Walmart. Daniel's Sentry is the closest grocery store to me, but I usually drive twice as far or more if I am planning on buying more than 1 or 2 items. I am not sure if their prices are due to COVID and supply issues, but typically Wisconsin is cheaper for most consumer goods (gas, cigarettes, sales tax. .), so I was shocked to see the price for items that I have purchased elsewhere for significantly less. As far as quality and customer service are concerned, I have never had a bad experience at Sentry. But to make a loyal customer out of me a retailer needs to make an effort to demonstrate that they value my business. My impression of the grossly overpriced items (across the board) at Daniel's Sentry is the shopper is being exploited due lack of competition. I may be wrong, but even their sales prices are not competitive. I am not a fool, and I work hard for my money. Gas is cheap, and I will drive 40 to 45 minutes to another store to avoid being overcharged at Sentry, which is about 15 minutes from me.
This is a very clean and organized store. The employees are very nice and the store employs a lot of high schoolers with what is probably their first job. However, they don't really enforce their mask policy which makes me a little nervous when I visit, so I keep my trips to the store to a minimum.
Pleased to see the continued progress of the remodeling inside the Walworth Sentry. It looks like the alcoholic focus is only on wine. The liquor selection and prices are certainly not competitive. Otherwise this is a nice place to shop.
So giving the Delavan location a one star because this store is never fully stocked. Today I found out that packing meats, vegetables, and fruits together is at the customer's discretion so not training employees about cross contamination. Half the kids these days don't even know why that's a danger and you'd think they would be trained this. There is also one employee kinda chubby dark hair who is always rude, so not sure why he's in customer service. Recommend going four extra miles to either Walworth or Elkhorn.
