My cat caught a baby cardinal at 10:30pm. I wasn't sure if anyone would answer, but I called Avian Wildlife Center right away hoping I could drop it off to give it the best chance of survival. To my delighted surprise, they answered right away and allowed me to go drop off the baby bird. I'm so thankful for wonderful humans like this who truly have a heart to help animals at any time, day or night. Thank you so much. I hope the little guy survives but even if not, I know it will be given the best care and chance it could have.

Giselle from Avian Wildlife Center was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Found a 2-3 day old bird that had fallen out of it’s nest right next to the house. Couldn’t locate the nest. Called several rescues which unfortunately weren’t opened due to the coronavirus. It was already after 5:00 pm by now only getting recordings. Called Avian and Giselle answered immediately. I told her about the baby bird I had found. She told me exactly what to do. Unfortunately I had given the bird warm milk which i found out was a no-no. Giselle told me to put it in a box or container and the most important thing is to keep it warm. She suggested a cloth in bottom of box and ball up tissues and put around the bird. Give it a little water and then leave it and don’t feed it any thing else. The next day we took the hour drive to her Center and left the bird. Giselle was very professional and suggested we call whenever we want for updates on its condition. We also filled out an information sheet. Thank you Giselle for what you do.

My wife found a baby House Sparrow that fell out of its nest in a parking lot. Chances for the little guy was not good. Since we are not in a position to care of the bird, Avian Wildlife Center thankfully took the Sparrow in. We are grateful for their support and the good work they do.
